My Year 7 class on Friday were making chocolate brownies. This was going to be the first time they were going to be measuring out the ingredients themselves as prior to this week, I had everything weighed out ready in bowls for them. They also get a printed version of the recipe in their kitchens to refer to while they are working.

The recipe calls for using the measuring jug for 1/2 cups, 1 cup and 1 1/2 cups of ingredients. Some of the measuring jugs had it marked as 1/2 and some had it measured as 0.5.
