I have not taught junior Design and Visual Communication for a few years now as I have had Food Tech on my timetable (which I have had great fun doing). I am super happy to see that I have Whare Manāki on my timetable for this year so I will get to teach junior DVC / Technology again. I have been having a thought about what kind of work we could do over the year, as I will have them in the same slot for the whole year and not be working on a rotation with them.
My next steps will be to talk to their classroom teacher to see what he thinks will be a good direction to go with them and what level I need to be aiming for.
